The Bridge City ISD Board of Trustees unanimously called for a May 7 bond election. The BCISD Bond asks voters to consider two propositions to address the district’s enrollment growth and enhance academic opportunities for students.

There have been changes in safety/security, state required curriculum, technology and energy efficiencies since the current middle school was built approximately 60 years ago. Additionally, Bridge City ISD has a projected enrollment growth of over 400 students during the next 10 years. Interest and enrollment in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs has greatly increased, with many CTE classes currently held in regular classrooms with inadequate resources.

Voters will be asked to consider the following two propositions on the May 7 ballot:

  • Proposition A: New Middle School Campus
  • Proposition B: New Career and Tech (CTE) Facility
